2022 AWARD RECIPIENTS

This past Monday at our February company meeting we took some time to recognize some special awards presented to a few members for the year of 2022.

Our first award was the 2022 Firefighter of the Year Award. This award is presented to one firefighter who goes above and beyond the call of duty. This year’s award was presented to Firefighter David Missey! Dave has done so much for the station and always goes above and beyond to help out. This past year, Dave especially put in a ton of time and effort for Undercliff. Whether it is showing up for calls, working fundraisers, or just helping out around the station Dave always give it 100%. We greatly appreciate all that Dave has done for the station and community this past year and are lucky to have him as member! Thank you Dave and congratulations!

Our next award is the 2022 Line Officer of the Year Award. This award is voted on by the membership and is presented the line officer who the members feel went above and beyond the call of duty. This years award was presented to former Deputy Chief Chuck Coyle! Chuck has been a huge asset to Undercliff VFC and we greatly appreciate all his time and effort he put in this past year. Chuck’s knowledge and experience have been a great asset on calls and in trainings. Chuck continues to work hard for our station and serve as a knowledge resource for all firefighters. Thank you for all that you do for Undercliff and the community Chuck! Congratulations!

Lastly, we took a moment to recognize our 2022 “Top 10 Responders” for fire calls. These men and women put in hundreds of hours training and responding to emergency calls at all hours of the day. Their dedication to the community is remarkable as is the dedication of all our members! Each “Top 10” firefighter received a new piece of clothing of their choice as a small token of appreciation for all their hard work. Thank you all for for all you do for the community!
