CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2024 AWARD RECIPIENTS

onight at our company meeting we took some time to honor some members for the achievements this past year in 2024. This has become a tradition at the February meeting for a long time now and always a special moment. 

Our first award was the 2024 Firefighter of the Year award. This award is presented to one firefighter who goes beyond the call of duty for the station throughout the year. This years’s firefighter of the year award was presented to firefighter Jay Hartz Jr! Jay put in many hours at the station last year, responding to over 300 fire calls, coming to trainings, events, and helping with many other things around the station. We are grateful to have Jay and his extra efforts do not go unnoticed. Congratulations Jay snd thank you for all you do!

The next award was our 2024 Junior Firefighter of the Year award. This is given to a Junior Firefighter who goes above and beyond around the station. This years award was presented to Junior Firefighter Jocelyn Hartz! Jocelyn has been a great addition to the station since joining and has been working hard to go through her essentials of firefighting training to complete her classes! Jocelyn has also been a big help on calls, events, and fundraisers around the station and we are thankful for all her efforts! Congratulations Jocelyn! Thanks for all you do and keep up the great work! 

The last award was the 2024 Line Officer of the Year award. This award is voted on solely by the membership and is presented to the Line Officer who goes above and beyond the call of duty. This years award was presented to Lieutenant Tom Hegerle! Tom continuously puts in many hours responding to calls, taking training classes, and leading our fleet maintenance to keep our vehicle in working order. Congratulations Tom! Thanks for all you do! 

Lastly we recognized the 2024 “Top 10” Responders. These members all responded to many calls and logged thousands of hours of time that past year. Their dedication to the community is remarkable and we appreciate all their efforts!
