INCIDENT- 1/13/23 - RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE - FALL RUN ROAD - SHALER TOWNSHIP

Just before 10:00 PM last night 264 Truck was dispatched for a reported house on fire on fall run road. 264 Truck arrived on scene first with heavy fire showing from all 4 sides of the structure. The truck crew worked to make a push inside to conduct searches and came under heavy heat and fire conditions.149 Engine arrived as first due engine and began making a push with the truck crew inside. Crews located one victim inside and quickly removed them from the structure to EMS. 261 Engine arrived and laid out to supply 149 Engine. 174 Engine picked up the secondary water supply. A second alarm was also transmitted for more manpower. Crews from numerous agencies worked for hours to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Allegheny County Fire Marshal and Allegheny County Homicide in conjunction with the Shaler Township Police.

One firefighter from 264 Truck was transported to the hospital for burns. He has since been released from the hospital and is doing okay. 3 additional firefighters from other companies were transported for non life threatening injuries.
