INCIDENT- 9/15/22 - RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE - SPENCER LANE EXT - SHALER TOWNSHIP
Just after 2:30 AM today, 264 Truck was was alerted for a reported house fire in Station 261’s first due. 261 Chief arrived on scene and had good fire inside the house that sat about 1500 feet back a private driveway. 149 Engine laid out from the hydrant with 264 Truck and 262 Truck behind them. 157 Engine had an additional hydrant on the back street and stretched through the woods. After an extensive period on scene crews were able to bring the fire under control. A second alarm was requested for additional man power during the incident. This was a challenging call with many obstacles to overcome. Good job to the crews on scene. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Allegheny County Fire Marshals Office.
