UNDERCLIFF VFC HOSTS "RED VEST DAY" WITH LOWE'S
Yesterday, Undercliff VFC hosted our Lowe’s “Red Vest Day” as part of our Lowe’s Hometowns Grant we received for our building renovation. Red Vest Days are community outreach events by Lowe’s to help out with a local community project. Our Red Vest Day was a volunteer day in which Lowe’s store associates teamed up with Undercliff VFC members to paint the entire inside of our building. We are truly humbled by the amazing turnout we had yesterday! With close to 50 people in attendance ranging from Lowe’s associates, Undercliff VFC members, family members, local dignitaries, and other community members we were able to get just about all the interior painting done in our building! WOW does it look GREAT! We are blown away by the work everyone did! What a huge milestone in this project as work towards completion!
We have many thank you’s in order for making this day possible. Without all these supporters none of this could have happened! And there is a lot of thanks in order! So get ready!
First BIG thank you to Lowe's Home Improvement and all their store associates for giving up their time to come paint with us and also all their support throughout this grant process! They have been amazing to work with and their associates were all amazing! Thank you to all Undercliff VFC members and their families who gave up their day to help out yesterday! A big you to the Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services of Western Pennsylvania for providing breakfast yesterday for all volunteers! Huge thank you to Olive Garden for donating a delicious lunch for all the workers yesterday! Thank you to Senator Lindsey Williams and Rep. Lindsay Powell for giving up their morning to come help out! They have been such great partners and supporters of Undercliff VFC and were grateful for this partnership! Thank you to Shaler Township Assistant Manager Judy Kording for helping to serve and coordinate lunch for the day! Thank you to Red Bull for coming out and donating cases of drinks! And lastly we have to thank Undercliff VFC member and grant writer Ryan Pontzloff! Ryan has devoted countless hours to this project and even coordinated this entire day. We are so thankful for Ryan and all his efforts he has done! THANK YOU Ryan!
This day has put us one step closer to completion of this project and the building is REALLY starting to take shape! We cannot wait to welcome everyone back for the grand reopening in the coming months! Stay tuned for more updates as we we continue along in this adventure! Thank you again everyone for an AMAZING day yesterday! Great job everyone!!
